For a qualifying standard opening, this is an installed window price with sales tax included. Your final written proposal identifies the selected product and the work for your home.
The window & glass
An AMSCO vinyl replacement window in a qualifying configuration, with Low-E glass and argon gas. The selected series and glass specifications are identified in your proposal.
The replacement work
Professional measurement, standard removal and disposal, setting the new window, insulation, perimeter sealing, and standard finish details.
Installation support
Windows Direct's lifetime workmanship coverage for qualifying installations and the original homeowner. AMSCO product coverage is separate; review the written terms.

The $555 standard category
- Sliding, fixed picture, or single-hung style.
- White or taupe frame, inside and outside.
- Size from 8 through 16 square feet.
- Replacement in an existing opening, with normal access and standard installation conditions.
For a rough size, multiply width in inches by height in inches and divide by 144. A 48 × 48-inch window is 16 square feet. We verify the final dimensions.
We measure before pricing these
- Over 16 square feet, special shapes, or patio doors.
- Casement, awning, or double-hung windows.
- Safety or specialty glass requirements.
- Rot, structural changes, difficult access, or unusual interior or exterior repair work.

If every opening qualifies for the $555 standard price, the math is straightforward. These are arithmetic planning examples, not completed customer projects or final bids.
Sales tax is included in these $555-based examples. Color upgrades, grids, separately quoted items, and nonstandard work change the project price. Any minimum project requirements are confirmed when we review your request.

Compare the exact window product, glass package, removal and installation method, finish work, disposal, and warranty responsibility. A product-only price and an installed project price cover different things.

Yes. Sales tax is included in the $555 installed price for a qualifying standard window. The project examples on this page use that tax-inclusive price.
Does every window cost $555?
No. The $555 category covers qualifying standard white or taupe sliding, picture, and single-hung windows from 8–16 square feet under standard replacement conditions. Small qualifying windows have a different price. Other styles, colors, specialty glass, and nonstandard work may need different or separate pricing.
How much would 10 standard windows cost?
Ten qualifying standard windows at $555 each have a planning total of $5,550, including sales tax. This assumes all ten qualify and excludes upgrades and separately quoted work. Professional measurement confirms eligibility and the final project price.
