01 / The installed offer

What does $555 include?

For a qualifying standard opening, this is an installed window price with sales tax included. Your final written proposal identifies the selected product and the work for your home.

The window & glass

An AMSCO vinyl replacement window in a qualifying configuration, with Low-E glass and argon gas. The selected series and glass specifications are identified in your proposal.

The replacement work

Professional measurement, standard removal and disposal, setting the new window, insulation, perimeter sealing, and standard finish details.

Installation support

Windows Direct's lifetime workmanship coverage for qualifying installations and the original homeowner. AMSCO product coverage is separate; review the written terms.

02 / Know where your project fits

Standard opening or a closer look?

The $555 standard category

  • Sliding, fixed picture, or single-hung style.
  • White or taupe frame, inside and outside.
  • Size from 8 through 16 square feet.
  • Replacement in an existing opening, with normal access and standard installation conditions.

For a rough size, multiply width in inches by height in inches and divide by 144. A 48 × 48-inch window is 16 square feet. We verify the final dimensions.

Online estimates, confirmed after measurement

  • ClearQuote estimates eligible oversized windows, selected special shapes, and standard patio doors.
  • Selected styles, including casement and double-hung windows, have calculator upgrades.
  • Safety glass, specialty glass, and configurations outside the calculator need individual review.
  • Rot, structural changes, difficult access, and unusual repair work are reviewed separately.

ClearQuote is a planning estimate based on the options you select. Measurement confirms product eligibility, glass requirements, installation conditions, and the final written price.

04 / Put a number to your plan

What could several windows cost?

If every opening qualifies for the $555 standard price, the math is straightforward. These are arithmetic planning examples, not completed customer projects or final bids.

5 windows$2,7755 × $555
10 windows$5,55010 × $555
15 windows$8,32515 × $555
20 windows$11,10020 × $555

Sales tax is included in these $555-based examples. Color upgrades, grids, separately quoted items, and nonstandard work change the project price. Any minimum project requirements are confirmed when we review your request.

05 / Compare the whole job

A useful quote tells you more than a total.

Compare the exact window product, glass package, removal and installation method, finish work, disposal, and warranty responsibility. A product-only price and an installed project price cover different things.

Ask for an explanation of exclusions and any measurement-related changes before approving the work.

Keep these three numbers separate

  • Planning estimate: a starting point based on your information.
  • Final measured quote: your confirmed products, scope, and project price.
  • Financing payment: a payment amount governed by separate lender terms, not the project price.

07 / Straight answers

Common pricing questions.

Do I need an in-home sales appointment to get a window price?

No. Start with ClearQuote or speak with us by phone. We help you understand products, pricing, and the installation process before a home visit. When you are ready, we arrange a final measure to verify fit, installation conditions, and your final written price. We do not require an hours-long sales presentation.

Is sales tax included in the $555 price?

Yes. Sales tax is included in the $555 installed price for a qualifying standard window. The project examples on this page use that tax-inclusive price.

Does every window cost $555?

No. The $555 category covers qualifying standard white or taupe sliding, picture, and single-hung windows from 8–16 square feet under standard replacement conditions. Small qualifying windows have a different price. Other styles, colors, specialty glass, and nonstandard work may need different or separate pricing.

How much would 10 standard windows cost?

Ten qualifying standard windows at $555 each have a planning total of $5,550, including sales tax. This assumes all ten qualify and excludes upgrades and separately quoted work. Professional measurement confirms eligibility and the final project price.

Do I need to give you my phone number to see a price?

No. You can start ClearQuote without contact information. Share your details when you choose to request a measurement or personal assistance.

What happens if measurement changes the price?

Your final proposal should explain the confirmed product, scope, and any changes from the online estimate. Review those differences before approving the order. An online estimate is not a final bid.
